Recycle your unwanted electronic goods at the Port Phillip Transfer Station

Port Phillip is proud to now offer its residents an opportunity to recycle their unwanted electronic goods at the South Melbourne transfer station.  Working with Beyond Waste recycling, a local company, the city of Port Phillip is now accepting unwanted electronic goods for recycling into new products.

The new service is free of charge to residents and will accept the following materials:

  • All computer associated parts (including CPUs, mice, keyboards, cables and software)
  • Computer monitors (no scratches, screen burn or broken surrounds)
  • Laptop computers
  • Printers
  • Scanners
  • Fax machines
  • Mobile phones
  • Photocopiers
  • Vacuum Cleaners
  • Small Domestic Appliances (Kettles, HIFIs, Irons, Juicers, Microwaves)
  • Workshop tools (Electric Saws and Drills)

Note: This service unfortunately cannot currently accept Television Screens.

This service is yet another important step towards a 'Zero Waste' community.  It will ensure that Port Phillip dramatically reduces the amount of potentially hazards, electronic wastes going to landfill.
