The illegal dumping of rubbish occurs frequently throughout the City of Port Phillip. The council endeavours to promptly clear dumped rubbish found within the municipality.
As an offence under the council's Local Law and the Litter Act, penalties apply to offenders who dump rubbish. Residents who witness the dumping of rubbish can help to prosecute the offender. The council needs a written statement containing details and evidence of identification, usually a vehicle registration number.
To report dumped rubbish online use eServices. If you prefer you can call ASSIST on (03) 9209 6777 or TTy (03) 9209 6713 and say you want to report dumped rubbish.
