Councillors' Code of Conduct

The Local Government Act 1989 requires every council to develop a code of conduct for councillors that addresses principles of conduct and procedures for resolving disputes between councillors.

The City of Port Phillip Councillor Code of Conduct download was adopted by the council on 14 September 2009.

The Councillor Code of Conduct must be reviewed within 12 months after every general Council election.
