The City of Port Phillip's community funding opportunities include;

  • Where applicable, the online application process is the preferred mode of application to the grants program. For a limited time a printed application form will be available via email request to grants@portphillip.vic.gov.au.
  • Training will be offered through the Community Grants Program Information Sessions which will include information on the online application process and successful grant and submission writing.

The City of port Phillip provides subsidies for the provision of meals to community groups of elderly people and/or people with disabilities and their carers. The subsidies are intended to assist groups to encourage prople's social opportunities within their community. Organisations are required to confirm their eligibility on an annual basis.

The Myer Foundation is committed to philanthropy and wishes to support processes, events, and activities that resolve problems and address issues that make a positive measurable difference to society. 

Telstra Foundation is a philanthropic initiative run independently of Telstra Corporation. Applications are considered for projects that address current social issues affecting young people in the areas of arts, health, education, disability and research.

Ian Potter Foundation has seven areas of interest: Arts; Education; Environment & Conservation; Health; Medical Research; Science; Social Welfare; Travel.

The Ian Potter Cultural Trust aims to nurture the growth of excellence and diversity in cultural activities in Australia by making small grants to outstandingly talented people in the early stages of their careers. 

Community Broadcasting Foundation: The primary aim of this organisation is to act as a funding agency for the development of community broadcasting in Australia.

Arts Victoria: Arts Victoria supports the arts and cultural industries to encourage excellence, develop good ideas, build audiences, encourage participation and improve facilities. This support is delivered through targeted programs devised by research and in response to community need.

Australian Film Commission: They provide funding and support for film practitioners. 

Australia Council: The Australia Council is the Australian Government's arts funding and advisory body that support and promote the practice and enjoyment of the arts.

VicHealth: VicHealth is an organisation committed to promoting the health of all Victorians. They provide funding for a range of programs. Funding rounds become active at various times throughout the year.  For details visit their website: .

ANZ Trustees - Charitable Grants: ANZ Executors & Trustee Company Limited (ANZ Trustees) is a Statutory Trustee Company operating in all mainland States and Territories of Australia. It is the sole trustee or co-trustee of approximately 400 charitable trusts, settlements and foundations.

Victorian Law Foundation: The Foundation offers grants to innovative projects that work towards improving community understanding of the law and legal system in Victoria, improving community access to the justice system, creating a better and more responsive justice system. Their grants program encompasses both financial and in-kind support. 

EcoRecycle Victoria: EcoRecycle Victoria's activities are funded by the landfill levy. One of the ways they return this levy to the community is through a range of grants and awards that support waste reduction and litter prevention activities and encourage innovation in moving towards a zero waste future. They also support seminars and conferences about materials efficiency and waste reduction to keep abreast of the issues and options.

Victorian Multicultural Commission: The Victorian Multicultural Commission runs a grant program to assist ethnic and community based organisations with programs and activities that help to meet the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Department of Victorian Communities: The Department for Victorian Communities (DVC) was created in December 2002 to provide a focus for the government's activities around strengthening communities and supporting more integrated government services. DVC administers a range of grant programs. Some grants go to individuals, while others go to organisations, big and small.

Sports and Recreation Victoria (SRV): For sport and recreation related grants and funding opportunities.
