Council-Managed Children's Services

We aim to provide high quality, accredited child care which is sensitive to the needs of the children and families.

City of Port Phillip operates four children’s centres catering for children aged 0-6. A funded 4 year old kindergarten program is also delivered.

In addition we offer Home Based Child Care as an alternative choice to centre based child care. Delivered in a small group within a nurturing home environment of a council registered educator for children aged 0-12.

Fees for Centre based care: $89.90 per day
Eligible families are entitled to the Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Rebate (CCR). Find out more about the Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate online or by phoning 13 61 50. These subsidies are designed to assist families in accessing affordable child care and are administered through a Family Assistance Office (FAO).

 The Council also offers a low-income subsidy to families whose finances meet specific criteria. The Child Care Centre Coordinator will advise you of the eligibility criteria.
