Project Description

Construction works were completed in August 2008.
St Kilda Pier kiosk An accurate reconstruction of the fire-destroyed heritage building, has now been re-opened for all to enjoy once again.
Foreshore connnections project: Fitzroy Street / Upper Esplanade intersection / Beaconsfield Parade Intersection The intersection where Fitzroy Street meets the Upper Esplanade and Jacka Boulevard was reshaped making it possible to cross directly between Fitzroy Street and the Catani Gardens. This project is a fundamental improvement in the Urban Design Framework's vision - making it easier for people to get across to the gardens and the foreshore. A new tram stop was created to make tram travel easier and safer.
