Community Strengthening in Port Melbourne

Creating the Connections - Community Strengthening in Port Melbourne

Creating the Connections is a community building project put in place by the City of Port Phillip, Port Melbourne Primary School and the State Government.

The aim of the Project is to bring together residents, agencies, community groups and governments to develop joint activities, projects and services for the Port Melbourne and Garden City Residents.

The development of  a family and children's hub has been central to the project

The Port Melbourne Family and Children's Hub is open!

On Friday 18 May the realisation of a vision came to fruition with the Official Opening of the Hub by our Mayor, Janet Bolitho and the Acting Premier John Thwaites. The opening event celebrated the completion of stage one of a wonderful community facility which will create a focus for families and children in Port Melbourne.
