Innovations & Excellence:

A cluster of eight schools in the City of Port Phillip have been awarded funding for the development of 'Innovations & Excellence' in the middle years of schooling by the Department of Education and Training. The substantial funding will employ an 'Educational Leader' for the Community School Yard initiative to co-ordinate local school involvement over three years. The priorities will include linking schools to the community, widening the understanding of 'Developmental Asset Building' (SEARCH Institute) across schools and community and developing practices in ' real life experiential learning' for educational reform and learning improvement in local schools.
