Working Together Quadrant of the Community Plan

What do we mean by Working Together To Take Action?

This is the core component of the Community Plan because it identifies the people and organisations that need to be involved and how the community and Council can work together on to improve our city.  It makes it clear what Council will be held accountable for by setting out strategies and specific actions for each of the fifteen priorities as well as laying the foundations for what other organisations, networks and individuals might do to respond to the priorities.

Working Together to take Action Action Plan - Year 1

The 1 second download via 56K modemWorking Together Action Plan  is a framework for 2007-2008 that outlines for each of the fifteen priorities, the overarching objectives (ie. what would success look like?), the strategies to achieve the objective, the specific actions we have committed to and the resources required from the community and Council to make it happen. It will be reviewed annually to ensure accountability and relevance.  The ac tion plan provides a concrete and achievable program that aims to move beyond cliche and idealistic statements.
