Four parts to the Community Plan

The four parts of the Community Plan ensure we have a framework that supports action, strengthens neighbourhood connections, encourages active citizenship and accountability.  More information about each component is available by clicking on the individual links below.

Each component is supported by year-long action plan which documents deliverables and outcomes.  The 3 minutes download via 56K modemCommunity Plan Action Plans - Year 2 are now available and document Council's commitment to the Community Plan.

Fifteen priorities for action

At the Community Summit in April 2007, the community and Council came together to discuss five topics and priorities for action that had been previously identified as the most important issues for our city.  For each of these five topics, summit participants voted to determine the top three priorities for action.  This resulted in fifteen priorities to improve our city.  These fifteen priorities will guide council planning over the next ten years.  Download the 1 second download via 56K modem15 Community Priorities
