The online version of the Port Phillip Community Directory contains community groups, government services and non-government organisations that serve the City of Port Phillip, and neighbouring councils: City of Melbourne, City of Bayside, City of Glen Eira, City of Stonnington.  This allows groups and services that are near City of Port Phillip council boundaries to be included for your benefit.

The Port Phillip Community Directory printable version May 2007, contains the contact details for the entries listed in the online version of the directory.

To ensure you are accessing the most up-to-date information about community groups and services, we strongly recommend that you use the online directory and not the hard copy directory.

Note: The Port Phillip Community Directory printed version only contains community and government organisations that serve the City of Port Phillip municipality, not surrounding councils as in the online version.

The City of Port Phillip Community Directory has been produced to assist people that live, work, visit or study in the municipality to access a range of information and services that are provided by community groups, government and non-government organisations. These organisations may provide a broad range of functions such as information provision, social support, health, educational and advisory services, recreation and cultural opportunities.

The Community Directory is a useful resource that will assist people to make contact within their local community or access the nearest service locations. Details of state wide agencies, peak bodies and other organisations of interest to local residents located in other municipalities may also be included in this directory, with priority given to the local outlet.

Community groups or organisations in, or nearby to, the municipality of the City of Port Phillip, were contacted to collect the information contained in the directory.  The community groups or organisations which are listed in the directory:  

• Are primarily not-for-profit or government organisations that provide services, information or activities that Port Phillip residents are eligible to join, participate in or have access to.
• Observe Victoria's Equal Opportunity Act 1995, the Federal Racial Discrimination Act 1975, Sex Discrimination Act 1984 or the Disability Discrimination Act 1992
• Only engage in non-discriminatory and legal activities.
• Endeavour to include a link to the City of Port Phillip website home page at:  http://www.portphillip.vic.gov.au on their website, where one exists.
