Congratulations!

Congratulations to all of the nominees of the 2008 Civic Awards for the outstanding contributions they have made to life in Port Phillip.  They are our local superstars, individuals and groups who play a key role in building a strong community. Nominations to the Civic Awards are made by the local community and provide an opportunity for you to identify the people and projects that you value locally.  With such wonderful people and projects nominated this year it was a difficult task to determine the award recipients.

The Awards were announced at the annual Civic Awards Event on December 11 with approximately 250 people in attendance.  The evening was a celebration of all volunteer participation in the community; the small and the large efforts, the individual and the group efforts.  It was all about recognising the achievements of remarkable volunteers who play a key role in building a strong community.  View the photos from the evening here.
