Certificate of Compliance

Any person may apply to the responsible authority for a Certificate of Compliance pursuant to Part 4A of the Planning and Environment Act 1987.

There are two types of certificates:

(a) Form 14, a certificate stating that an existing use or development of land complies with the requirements of the planning scheme at the date of the certificate;or

(b) Form 15, a certificate stating that a proposed use or development (or part of a use or development) of land would comply with the requirements of the planning scheme at the date of the certificate.

To apply for the Certificate of Compliance

Please fill out the   Application form for Certificate of Compliance and return (with a cheque for $143.00 payable to The City of Port Phillip).
