Who attended?

People with a role in planning, community connections, arts, welfare and youth support.

This forum targeted increasing real opportunities to advance Youth Participation and Planning across this Port Phillip.

Big Cake II emphasised the potential the City of Port Phillip has to include young people in many aspects of our planning and development and that such opportunity advances consultative mechanisms, learning outcomes and personal development of young people in this city.

What we achieved

Community has a great opportunity to substantially support young people's learning and at the same time advance council's current model of youth participation. The Big Cake was an opportunity to explore how young people might advance the work we do.

World Cafe workshops asked participants to consider three key areas around voice, knowledge and action.

The information gathered will inform this community of the current status of youth participation across the City of Port Phillip and enable greater focus and direction for future development.
